Outdoor Navigation Seminar

Map and compass skills are an important set of tools for anyone going on an outdoor adventure. Not only do they help provide a safe and enjoyable experience, but they also open the door for exploration. Join Reach Your Summit and FALPS (https://falps.org) and learn how to orienteer using maps and compass. We will also discuss GPS units, apps, satellite communication devices and more. Meet 2:00 p.m. at the Nature Museum on Greenwoods Road in Peoples State Forest. You will leave this seminar feeling more confident in navigation and with using these items from your Ten Essentials kit.

Maps and compasses will be on hand, though you can bring your own compass if you'd like. Space is limited. RSVP Required. This event is complimentary through Reach Your Summit and FALPS.
