Guided Hike On New England Trail (In Support Of Lamentation Mountain Relief Efforts)

This year's floods and fires have severly impacted and in some cases even closed many of Connecticut's blue blaze trails. The devastating recent Hawthorne Fire damaged a large part of the Mattabessett section of the New England Trail . Connecticut Forest & Park Association has been protecting & maintaining these trails around the state and helping the hiking community for over 100 years, now it is our turn to return the favor. This special guided hike is open to all and will take place on a different part of the Mattabessett section of the New England Trail. The moderate 5.75 mile hike will bring our group to Beseck Mountain and Powder Ridge with multiple highlights along the way including multiple overlooks, massive glacial boulders, history and more.
