About The Event

Start the New Year off right!  Take a hike with Reach Your Summit through one of Connecticut's National Historic Landmarks, the breathtaking McLean Game Refuge. The hike begins off a trailhead parking lot and quickly climbs away through roots, rocks and forest to a beautiful overlook and multiple waterside views.

The 6.3 mile loop hike is open to all and is suitable for beginner's looking to hike for the first time (though you may find it challenging in some spots if you are new to hiking), intermediates who like rewarding views or individuals looking to get out in the winter. There is no cost to attend this special, free event. Space is limited. RSVP is required. Waiver/Assumption of Risk documents will be on hand to sign. This event will be held rain, snow or shine.
