Family Fun Day At Peoples State Forest

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 8th from 11-2:00 p.m. We will have a fun filled day for families with crafts, games and a special Hiking talk led by Mat Jobin from Reach Your Summit! (Hiking talk will be held from 1-2 p.m.) Games,

and crafts will start at 11 a.m.! We will make some awesome painted rocks, decorate glass jars, cool scratch art projects and fun games with some of the past years Recreation camp staff and FRCC River Steward Team. We will be practicing social distancing and ask that everyone that attends wear and bring masks for when social distancing is not possible. Please email Donna Bastrzycki- Barkhamsted Recreation Director at barkhamstedrec@barkhamsted.us to confirm that you and your family would like to attend and how many from your family by Monday, August 3 so we can prepare for the craft and game supplies and also adhere to the size of the gatherings recommended. (Families must pre- register to attend) The event is FREE but donations for the Recreation Department will be accepted to cover the cost of the program.)
